Several defendants, who were scheduled to pick juries on Monday in Carbon County court to hear their cases, instead entered into plea bargains with the district attorney's office and pleaded guilty to criminal counts.
Those pleading included:
Jeffrey Cope, 24, of Lansford, pleaded to one count of criminal conspiracy-harassment. He was charged by Nesquehoning police for an incident at the county prison which occurred in November 2011 involving another inmate. The charge was reduced from aggravated harassment by a prisoner.
