A Hazleton area bank was robbed by a lone white male on Monday.
State police at Hazleton said the male entered the PNC branch office, located along Susquehanna Blvd. (SR930), in Hazle Township, about 9:24 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed and no injuries reported.
The suspect then fled the bank traveling through a wooded area located to the rear of the bank. He then fled in a brown in color four-door sedan, which was parked along Providence Road. He was last seen traveling on SR309 south into Hazleton.
