Palmerton Area School District will spend over $10,000 in its search for a new superintendent.
The school board unanimously agreed on Tuesday to approve the services of the Pennsylvania School Board Association for the superintenent's search, at an amount not to exceed $10,400.
After the meeting, board President Barry Scherer told the TIMES NEWS the board expects to meet with the PSBA search committee sometime next month "to lay some groundwork."
Scherer added the board would like to have the search narrowed down to several candidates within the first quarter of 2013.
