A deer and a van collided along a Schuylkill County road on Thursday morning, Oct. 25.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said David W. Selsman, 43, of New Ringgold, was operating a 2006 Dodge Caravan eastbound on Second Mountain Road, North Manheim Township, about 9:12 a.m., and approaching a downshill right curve.
As the van entered the curve a deer came into the eastbound lane in front of Selsman. He swerved his van to avoid the animal and struck a culvert along the berm.
Selsman was not injured but the van had to be towed from the scene.
