A Carbon County drug dealer was recently sentenced to a state prison term by the county court.
Joseph Tate, 49, of Palmerton, was sentenced by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II to serve 21 to 48 months in a state prison on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance-heroin.
He was arrested by agents of the state Attorney General's office for making at least six sales to an undercover agent at locations in Palmerton and Allentown.
He sold a total of 117 bags of heroin to the agent. The plea was to one of the sales.
