St. John Neumann Regional School students recently took to the streets to raise funds for an important cause.
It turned out to be mission complete, as the students raised $11,000 through their participation in the school's 11th annual Walkathon.
Pupils in grades K-3 from the school's Slatington campus joined students from the school's Palmerton campus, to participate in the event.
The event began with a mass, followed by a kickoff prayer. Afterward, the students took part in a calisthenics workout courtesy of Kerri Jahelka, owner of Dedicated Fitness in Palmerton.
