Roads throughout our area this morning were hit with a quick freeze as warmer temperatures last night melted snow, while a burst of colder weather this morning made roads throughout our area very dangerous. In addition to multiple accidents, there were many reports of dangerous road conditions. Pictured is a PennDOT truck laying salt down on SR54 this morning. Two accidents this morning in Schuylkill and Carbon counties on SR54 were accredited to icy road conditions and unsafe driving.
