A married Montgomery County veterinarian pleaded guilty in Lehigh County court on Thursday to killing his pregnant girlfriend, a former Lehighton woman.
David Rapoport, 31, pleaded guilty to first degree murder in the death of Jennifer L. Snyder, 27, and her unborn child last March. Judge Robert L. Steinberg immediately sentenced him to two consecutive life in prison without parole terms.
In exchange for the pleas, the district attorney agreed not to seek the death penalty. Rapoport also agreed not to file any appeals in the case or seek a pardon from the governor.
